IRATA TIG WELDER Technician
FAM Energy Service is seeking highly skilled Offshore IRATA TIG Welders for an upcoming project in Brazil.
Due to the high technical standards and international environment of this project, we require candidates with excellent English communication skills and recent, verifiable qualification records to ensure immediate operational readiness.
🛠️ MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
To be considered, candidates must possess the following:
IRATA Certificate
Language Proficiency: Fluent English (spoken and written) is mandatory. You must be able to communicate complex technical issues and follow safety briefings without barriers.
Offshore Survival: Valid Seaman’s Book, BOSIET, or HUET.
Recent NDT Evidence: Proof of volumetric Non-Destructive Testing performed within the last 6 months.
🔬 TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS (ASME IX)
Candidates must be specifically qualified to weld Inconel 625 (PN 43 – FN 43). Per ASME IX standards:
Required Qualifications: ER NiCrMo-3 (PN 43 – FN 43) OR Cu-Ni (PN 34 – FN 34).
Must be within valid diameter and thickness ranges using the same process and consumable type (rod).
Important Note: Qualifications in C-Mn steel or 316 Stainless Steel are not sufficient for Inconel 625 requirements.
🎯 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform high-precision GTAW (TIG) and GMAW (MIG) welding on steel, aluminum, and stainless steel components (tubes and door assemblies).
Primary focus on Inconel 625 welding and repair.
Interpret and discuss complex blueprints and technical drawings in English with the engineering team.
Ensure all parts comply with drawing specifications, including metal finishing and splatter cleaning.
Maintain expert knowledge of welding procedures (WPS) and equipment maintenance.
📋 CONTRACT DETAILS
Location: Offshore – Brazil
Rotation: 45 days ON / 45 days OFF
Schedule: 12 hours/day, 7 days/week
Duration: 6 months + 6 months (extendable)
Start Date: ASAP
