Starting date: ASAP
Workplace: Offshore Libya
Duration of the contract: 8 months with possible extension
Rotation Schedule: 28 days on /28 days Off ( including travel days)
Work Schedule: 12 hours/day - 7 days/week
The Commissioning Lead Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all commissioning activities offshore, ensuring systems and equipment are tested, verified, and handed over safely and in compliance with project specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirements.
The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams in a challenging offshore environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate all offshore commissioning activities across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and process systems.
Develop and review commissioning procedures, method statements, and test packs.
Ensure systems are completed, tested, and handed over according to project schedule and quality standards.
Interface with construction, engineering, QA/QC, and client representatives to ensure smooth execution.
Manage commissioning team members and subcontractors offshore.
Monitor progress and report status to Project Management on a daily/weekly basis.
Ensure compliance with HSE policies, offshore safety regulations, and permit-to-work systems.
Identify and resolve technical issues during pre-commissioning and commissioning phases.
Coordinate punch list management and system handover documentation.
Support start-up activities and performance testing when required.
Requirements:
Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Process Engineering (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 8–10 years of experience in commissioning activities in oil & gas, energy, or offshore projects.
Proven experience in offshore commissioning roles.
Strong knowledge of commissioning methodologies, system completion, and handover processes.
Familiarity with international standards and offshore regulations.
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
Strong problem-solving and leadership skills.
Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Offshore certification (BOSIET, HUET, offshore medical fitness, etc.).
