Mechanical Supervisor
FAM Energy Service is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor for a mechanical Construction / Installation on Steel Plant in Spain. The ideal candidate will oversee on-site operations, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and adherence to the project timeline.
Key Responsibilities:
On-site Supervision: Oversee the mechanical installation, assembly of heavy equipment, and complex piping systems, ensuring full alignment with project milestones.
Team Leadership: Manage and coordinate multi-disciplinary on-site teams and subcontractors to meet daily productivity targets and technical KPIs.
Schedule & Progress Monitoring: Track work advancement in real-time, identifying potential bottlenecks and coordinating with the Project Manager to maintain the schedule.
Technical Compliance: Ensure all installation activities strictly adhere to technical drawings, P&IDs, specifications, and international quality standards.
Safety & HSE Oversight: Enforce rigorous safety protocols on-site, ensuring a "zero-accident" environment and compliance with Spanish/International regulations.
Quality Control (QC): Perform site inspections, supervise non-destructive testing (NDT), and lead the pre-commissioning and commissioning phases.
Technical Reporting: Prepare detailed daily and weekly progress reports, documenting site activities, resource allocation, and any technical deviations.
Requirements:
Minimum 5-8 years’ experience as a Mechanical Supervisor in industrial, energy, or EPC projects.
Strong expertise in mechanical assembly, heavy equipment positioning, and piping.
Knowledge of: Blast Furnace, Hot Stoves, Dust Catcher, Scrubber, Demister, Rotating machines (Pumps, Combustion Air Fun, Vertical Roller Mill, Recovery Turbine)
Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings (P&IDs, Isometrics).
Proven leadership skills and experience managing large field crews.
Language skills: Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Spanish is a significant advantage.
Flexibility: Willingness to work 60 hours per week (10x6 shift).
Work Permit: Only European candidates or professionals holding a valid work permit for Spain/EU will be considered.
