Rope Acces Level 3 Technician
FAM Energy Service is currently seeking experienced Rigger Rope Access Technicians (RAT) or professionals with proven insulation experience for an upcoming offshore assignment. The ideal candidates will have solid hands-on experience in rope access, heavy lifting operations, and insulation works within challenging offshore oil & gas environments.
Scope of Work / Responsibilities:
Perform lifting and rigging operations, including the selection, inspection, and installation of rigging gear (slings, shackles, chain hoists) using rope access techniques.
Execute insulation installation, removal, and reinstatement works (including hot/cold insulation and cladding).
Coordinate complex lifts and load handling at height in strict accordance with IRATA guidelines and lifting plans.
Carry out all rope access operations ensuring maximum safety and efficiency.
Assist in the preparation of rigging equipment and insulation materials for daily tasks.
Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with Permit to Work (PTW) requirements and project specifications.
Participate in daily toolbox talks, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and safety briefings.
Conduct pre-use inspections of rope access gear, rigging hardware, and insulation tools.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all offshore HSE regulations.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a RAT Rigger in offshore oil & gas projects.
Demonstrated hands-on experience as an Insulator in offshore environments.
Mandatory experience working on FPSO units or offshore platforms.
Valid IRATA Level 3.
Specific Rigging & Lifting certification (e.g., OPITO or equivalent) is highly preferred.
Strong technical knowledge of lifting equipment, load weight estimation, and insulation materials.
Ability to work effectively within multicultural offshore teams.
Full understanding of offshore safety procedures and emergency response protocols.

Location: Offshore – Brazil
Rotation: 45 days on / 45 days off
Working hours: 12 hours per day, 7 days per week
Contract: 6 + 6 months (extendable)
