Location: Offshore Libya
Rotation: 28 days on/28 days off
Work Schedule: 12 hours7day - 7 days/week
Starting Date: April 2026 ( as soon as visa will be ready)
Duration of the contract: October 2026 with possible extension
The Offshore Piping Commissioning Lead is responsible for coordinating, and executing mechanical commissioning activities related to piping systems, with specific focus on leak testing and system integrity verification.
The role ensures that all activities are performed safely, in compliance with project specifications, international standards, and QHSE requirements, and in accordance with the commissioning schedule.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and coordinate offshore mechanical commissioning activities for piping systems, with particular focus on leak testing (hydrostatic and pneumatic).
· Plan, prepare, and execute leak test activities in accordance with approved procedures, project specifications, and applicable codes and standards (e.g. ASME, ANSI).
· Verify piping system readiness prior to testing, ensuring completion of Mechanical Completion (MC), punch list clearance, and correct reinstatement status.
· Review and approve leak test packages, procedures, test boundaries, test pressures, and acceptance criteria.
· Supervise and guide subcontractors, vendors, and offshore personnel involved in piping commissioning activities.
· Ensure proper calibration, availability, and use of testing equipment and instruments.
· Act as the focal point for leak test activities during offshore commissioning and interface with the Client and Company Representatives.
· Support troubleshooting activities related to piping integrity and leak test failures.
· Ensure proper completion, verification, and handover of commissioning documentation, including test records, certificates, and final dossiers.
Requirements
· Degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
· Strong experience in piping systems commissioning and leak testing (hydrostatic and pneumatic).
· Excellent leadership and coordination skills in an offshore environment.
· Fluent in English;
· Offshore safety certifications (BOSIET/FOET, HUET, medical certificate).
· Previous experience on gas production platforms or offshore facilities.
