Location: Offshore Libya
Rotation: 28 days on/28 days off
Work Schedule: 12 hours/day - 7 days/week
Starting Date: April 2026 ( as soon as visa will be ready)
Duration of the contract: October 2026, with possible extension
Role Summary
· The Mechanical Commissioning Lead, is responsible for leading and executing mechanical commissioning activities related to rotating equipment, with specific focus on gas turbine packages.
· The role ensures that commissioning activities are performed safely, in compliance with project specifications, vendor requirements, applicable standards, and offshore QHSE regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead offshore mechanical commissioning activities for rotating machines, with primary focus on gas turbine packages.
Coordinate and supervise commissioning activities in accordance with vendor manuals, project procedures, and international standards.
Verify Mechanical Completion status and system readiness prior to pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
Interface with Vendors’ representatives for gas turbine package commissioning, inspections, and troubleshooting.
Supervise subcontractors and offshore personnel involved in rotating equipment commissioning activities.
Ensure proper alignment, lubrication systems readiness, flushing, barring, and mechanical run-in activities as applicable.
Monitor progress, report commissioning status, and promptly escalate technical or organizational issues.
Support troubleshooting activities and close commissioning punch lists related to rotating equipment.
Ensure correct completion and handover of commissioning documentation and final dossiers.
Requirements
Degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Proven experience in offshore mechanical commissioning of rotating equipment, with strong expertise in gas turbine packages.
Fluent in English.
Offshore safety certifications (BOSIET/FOET, HUET).
Previous experience on offshore gas production platforms or power generation packages
