RAT Scaffolder Foreman
RAT Scaffolder Foreman (or with Insulation Experience) – Offshore (Brazil)
We are currently seeking an experienced RAT Scaffolder Foreman with proven insulation experience for an offshore assignment. The role requires strong leadership capabilities and solid hands-on experience in rope access, scaffolding supervision, and insulation works within offshore oil & gas environments.
Scope of Work / Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead RAT (Rope Access Technician), scaffolding, and insulation crews onboard
Plan, coordinate, and control scaffolding erection, modification, and dismantling activities
Oversee and support insulation installation, removal, and reinstatement works (hot/cold insulation, cladding)
Ensure safe execution of rope access operations for scaffolding and insulation activities
Verify compliance with method statements, risk assessments, and PTW requirements
Coordinate daily activities with offshore construction, commissioning, and operations teams
Conduct toolbox talks, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and safety briefings
Inspect scaffolding, rope access, and insulation tools/equipment, ensuring proper certification and tagging
Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with the standards, project specifications, and HSE regulations
Requirements:
Proven experience as RAT Scaffolder Foreman in offshore oil & gas projects
Demonstrated experience as Insulator in offshore
Mandatory experience working on FPSO units or offshore platforms
Valid IRATA Level 3 certification
Strong knowledge of scaffolding systems, rope access techniques, and insulation works
Experience supervising multicultural offshore teams
Full knowledge of Permit to Work (PTW) systems and offshore safety procedures
Position Details:
Project: FPSO 79
Start date: February
Location: Offshore – Brazil
Rotation: 45 days on / 45 days off
Working hours: 12 hours per day, 7 days per week
Contract: 6 + 6 months (extendable)
